spots in NYC

If you follow me on Instagram, you know Jacques and I love to eat and drink our way through the city. This is a curated list of almost all the places we have been to. I’ll be adding to this list as we try out more places!

Enjoy Xx

WHERE TO EAT

  • 7th Street Burger - I’m a smashburger type of girl and when I had this one for the first time, I was dancing through the entire more because it was delicious. Go all out and get the cheese fries with the toppings.

  • Antons - One of our new favorites! Only been there once but it was really good cozy vibes and the food was incredible. I don’t even remember what we ordered but everything we got was good.

  • Avra Madison Estiatorio - The best is coming here for lunch because they have a lunch set menu deal that’s incredible. You have to get the saganaki and lobster pasta! The desserts are phenomenal too and im usually not a dessert type of girl

  • Buvette - They steam their eggs with a coffee steamer! Fun place to go if you’r visitng.

  • C as in Charlie - Amazing Korean tapas bar and natural winelist. Must go here if you love Korean food. Everything from the crudo, Salisbury steak, Korean fried chicken, creamy pasta was amazing.

  • Cucina Alba - Love this spot for dinner! It’s cute and sexy inside. I don’t remember what we got but remember the pasta was good!

  • Dim Sum Palace - We tried this dim sum restaurant recently and thought it was really good! It’s your typical dim sum restaurant, big, filled with round tables but it’s some of the best dim sum we’ve had. If you want a “cuter” dim sum experience, we also really love Tim Ho Wan!

  • Don Angie - We have only been once because it’s so tough getting a reservation, but I remember this place was so good. If you can snag a resy, def try it!

  • Frenchette - Jacques’ favorite place. We saw Emrata there one time! The food is unique. We love sitting at the bar and grabbibg drinks/food for dinner.

  • Jack’s Wife Freda - Go to the one in Soho and sit outside for brunch. I love it there for people watching

  • Jeffrey’s Grocer Super - Cute casual spot for brunch and drinks! If you can, get a seat outside when it’s nice out, order a bottle of rose and enjoy!

  • Kiki’s - One of the best restaurants I’ve had and my favorite. It’s Mediterranean and delicious. They don’t take reservations, so go a little earlier than intended and put your name down.

  • L’Artusi - The pasta here is delicious! You can’t go wrong with the menu here because everything is delicious. Celebs love this restaurant. We once saw Bradley Cooper dining there casually with his daughter one random night we were there.

  • Los Tacos No. 1 - The best tacos in NYC. Get the carne asada tacos “con todo” (with everything) and a plain cheese quesadilla all on corn tortillas

  • Lure Fishbar - Love this spot because it has something for everyone. From sandwiches to salads to sushi! It’s kind of like a bougie Hillstone. If you can snag seats at the bar, I love eating there. You MUST get the shrimp tempura appetizer and I order a hellfire roll as my main.

  • Nowon - One of the best burgers we’ve ever had. Im usually not a “fusion” type girl. Don’t let the kimchi throw you off, this burger is INSANE.

  • Pastis - Great for brunch or dinner. Our favorie is going there for brunch and sitting outside. Get the French onion soup, country pate, escargot, hanger steak or eggs benedict.

  • Prince Street Pizza - If you’re visiting and need a pizza fix, grab a slice here. The line is usually really long but the grandma slice with the liquid gold pepperoni cups are *chefs kiss*. Don’t ask for ranch anywhere in NYC, as a ranch-lover myself, I’ve learned the hard way lol.

  • Raku - The best udon everrrrr we get the chicken karage appetizer and the Gyunan udon. The Edi Ten is amazing too!

  • Raoul’s - Must get the steak frites (the best) and mussels if they have it.

  • Rezdora - One of our favorite date night spots. It’s super cozy and intimate. The pasta here is so so good.

  • Rubirosa - They have this “tie-dye” pizza that people love! Great pastas too.

  • Ruby’s - Love this place for lunch. They have bowls and pastas! My favorite is the sun dried tomato pasta and the pancakes are delicious.

  • Soothr Thai - Feels like a Thai night market but it’s a restaurant. The food here is really good and flavorful.

  • Thai Diner - Go a little earlier than you want and put your name down. The pad thai is delicious!

  • The Tyger - Cute Asian restaurant with great food! The crab fried rice is delicious.

  • Upside Pizza - Another great slice shop in soho! There’s usually no line here and I like their pizza a lot.

IN MANHATTAN -

  • Ace’s Pizza - I have an unhealthy obsession with the lemon pepper chicken wings here.

  • Birds of a Feather - One of our favorite Asian restaurants in Brooklyn that we don’t go nearly enough. The wontons and fried fish fillets are our favorite dish!

  • Bonnies - A unique twist on Chinese food. Their dishes all have a unique execution to them. If you like salty things, their MSG martini is sooooo good and the walnut shrimp makes my inner child so happy.

  • Chez Ma Tante - love this cozy restaurant! I got the pork chop once and it was soooo good. People also love their pancakes during brunch.

  • Fini Pizza - A little different from L’industrie. The sauce is more garlicky and flavorful which I love. The white slice here is really good and I love the Sicilian slice there. Jacques loves the pepperoni slice.

  • K’Faar - One of the best restaurants in Williamsburg we’ve tried recently. It’s an Israeli restaurant and the dishes are incredible.

  • L’industrie - Jacques’ favorite slice. He gets the burrata slice and I get the New Yorker with buratta. The tartufo white slice is also delicious!

  • Laser Wolf - On the top of our list to try! It’s a tough resy and I hear it’s incredible.

  • Misi - The pastas here are next level and i’m obsessed with the Whipped Ricotta Mushroom toast.

  • Taqueria Ramirez - Some of the best tacos we’ve had! It’s a cute little shop with some seating. You order at the counter!

IN BROOKLYN -

WHERE TO DRINK

  • Bar Piscellino - The space itself is teeny tiny but it’s such a cute cocktail bar to go for a negroni!

  • Bar Valentina - One of our new finds in Dime Square. We love going there for a drink during the day, they have a patio with outdoor seating that feels like you’re sitting at a café in Paris people-watching. At night, they have fun music and it’s a vibe! It’s the perfect bar for when you don’t want a club/crowded bar scene and more of a chill but still cool/vibey fun place for drinks with friends.

  • Dante - People go nuts over this place, and I agree, it’s so cute but I feel like the drinks are OK. The wait for a table is always super long so we never go, but if you can get a reservation, try it out! It’s very IG worthy especially if you’re visiting NYC.

  • Fouquets - A little sleepy and proper, but the bar is beautiful and sophisticated. Good for a chill nightcap. It’s hidden behind the bookshelf in the lobby.

  • Katana Kitten - Voted one of the best cocktail bars in the whole US! Definitely go for one drink and get the pocari sweat highball. It’s so refreshing and delicious.

  • La Cabra - A new coffee shop with pretty desserts in soho.

  • Le Dive - Another bar we love for day drinks. Feelsl like you’re in Paris! Love sitting outside with a glass of wine here.

  • Mother’s Ruin - A fun casual bar to grab drinks during the day! If you can score a table inside in the window, it’s the best spot!

  • Ralph’s Cafe - They have one in Flatiron or 5th Ave. The Flatiron location is smaller and more of a grab and go, whereas 5th ave has a cute little area to eat inside. There’s a table outside on the stairs that’s cute for and IG content!

  • Rin Tin Tin - It’s right next door to Mother’s Ruin. Love this cute place for cocktails during the day!

  • Sel Rrose - An oldie but a goody! We used to go here alllll the time. The cocktails are great and cute space for a drink during the daytime.

  • Temple Bar - A sexy dark and moody bar! Great for strong cocktails for date night.

  • The Garret - An oldie but if it’s your first time in NYC you should go! It’s a speakeasy hidden in the back of a 5 guys!

  • The Nines - If you can get a resy, I love this spot for a cocktail after dinner. It’s really sexy and sceney.

  • The Spaniard - This place gets pretty rowdy during the day. If you’re looking to day-drink, go here.

IN MANHATTAN -

  • Bar Blondeau - Cute rooftop bar with yummy drinks and food.

  • Bernie’s - This bar recently opened up, but it feels like an establishment that’s been there for forever. Love grabbing drinks here with friends. They have an all-American menu with mozz sticks and all the things.

  • Café Balearica - A funky, quirky bar that’s great for day drinks. I think at night they have a nightclub downstairs.

  • Deux Chats - Another great cocktail bar with delicious cocktails and vibe

  • El Penguino - If you like tinned fish and funky food, this bar is really cool!
