St Barths Itinerary

It was a majority of our first time on the beautiful French island so we knew we had to hit all the fun party spots! It was definitely an aggressive itinerary, but since we were with a big group, we thought it would be fun to experience all these places together for the first time.

FLIGHTS

Jacques and I flew from JFK into St. Marteen. Then flew from St. Marteen to St. Barths via Winnair. The flights for us were pretty easy! We pre-booked a convertible mini cooper rental which I highly recommend! The airport in St. Barths is really small and picking up the car was super quick and simple. It made the experience getting around town really fun IMO! Cabs are a bit challenging to get so be prepared for that. Our airbnb host gave us this link HERE to find cabs. It’s very ancient and you have to call multiple numbers until someone is available if you’re lucky.

ACCOMODATIONS

Here’s the AIRBNB we stayed at. This was our last choice that happened to be the cheapest on our list. The others we liked ended up being booked so we went with this one as a last resort. It ended up being way better in real life. It was clean, with a pretty backyard, good location right next to Eden Roc and came with a housekeeper everyday which was nice. She tidied the home, made our bed (no fresh towels though) but it’s an airbnb so you can’t expect much. We just grabbed waters, beers, wine and some food from the grocery store to have at the house before we settled in.

LUNCH

  • Sand Bar @ Eden Rock

    • Great vibes, all outdoors right on the beach. The food and ambiance were 10/10. Gorgeous beach but they only allow hotel guests to rent their beach chairs.

  • La Cabane @ Cheval Blanc

    • One of my favorites for lunch! The dining area is all outdoors and also right on the beach! Very cute Tulum vibes. Food was really good! Definitely recommend reserving beach chairs to lounge in after for a beach day (50 euros each). We got really lucky the first day as the water was super calm and blue. The second day, the waves were way too rough for us to go in the water which was a bummer. You can order all the food and drinks from their restaurant on the beach as well, which we did the second time around.

  • Shellona

    • We had a reservation here for one of the days but ended up cancelling because we had too many back to back reservations and wanted a chill day. We went back to Cheval Blanc to hang at the beach and order lunch there instead. Shellona is also right on the beach but the beach is filled with Shells. Their beach chairs/beach situation didn’t feel as nice. I hear the food at Shellona is really good though so I would try it for lunch next time!

  • Nikki Beach

    • We came here for a sunset seating at 3:30pm which I highly recommend! It’s right on the beach and great for fun sunset photos. The sushi here was delicious! Fun party vibes with a DJ where you can dance on tables if you want. It really is what you make of it.

  • Nao Beach

    • I hear this is a new beach club! We didn’t go this time but definitely on the list for next time.

  • Gypsea

    • Don’t know much about this one but heard it’s good too

  • Hotel Christopher

    • We came here for sunset cocktails before heading home to get read for dinner and it was divine! Snag a seat at the edge of the rocks right by the water for the best sunset views of your life.

DINNER

  • Tamarin

    • Came here on our first night for a double date with my sister and her husband! It’s all outdoors in a beautiful lush garden. Romantic, food and service was incredible. Highly highly recommended to go here on your first night as it’s a great way to intro you into the vacation. One of my favorite places we went to!

  • La Guerite

    • This place is supposedly the best on Wednesdays! We had a fun time but the service was super slow. We had sat at the table for over an hour before being served our drinks. We accidentally ordered off the specials menu and were SHOOK at the pricing of the fish (~500 euros) and tomahawk (~600 euros) when we got the tab. Food was more expensive than the booze which was wild. It was really hot in there as it’s outdoors but semi-enclosed. Music wasn’t amazing..it seemed like the DJ pulled every basic wedding song to play. We had fun though because we made the best of it. I wouldn’t care to go back here next time.

  • Bonito

    • We came here for an early dinner (6:30pm) because that was the only available res for a party of 8. It was definitely more on the chill side at this hour so I can’t speak to what the vibes are during prime time. I’m thinking it’s def more on the chill side and good for couples! The food and drinks were delicious! Super cute restaurant and would def go back!

  • La Petite Plage

    • If you want to feel like a peasant go here! It seemed like they seat only the richest in the center of the restaurant (where all the fun is). I swear there was a table that ordered 16 bottles of tequila aka one for each person lol. I made a reservation at least a month in advance and when we arrived to check in, they told us our table was outside…..make sure you specify you want to sit inside if you want more party vibes. It ended up working out because we liked the outdoors for a more chill dinner situation before going inside and being immersed into the party. They moved us to the tiniest table for 8 people squished all the way in the corner of the restaurant! Such a bummer since the restaurant was one of the cutest during our stay but our experience wasn’t the best. The food was actually really good though which was a plus! Definitely must get the “Spoiled Children Pasta” it’s incredible.

  • Bagatelle

    • We came here on our last night! TBH I didn’t think we were going to make it since we were leaving the next day but we did it! Didn’t order too much food since we had a late lunch at Nikki Beach prior but from what we ate, it was good. The music here was probably the best during the entire trip! The vibes were pretty mellow when we arrived, but proof it truly is what you make of it! The girls and I finished dinner so we got up to dance. As soon as the waitress saw us all out of our seats and dancing, she cleared our table, ripped off the tablecloth so we could dance on the table. Next thing you know the entire restaurant was dancing with us! This was definitely our favorite most fun night!

  • Eddy’s

    • We walked past this restaurant and it looked super cute and romantic! Def on the list for next time.

  • Black Ginger

    • Jacques went here probably 10 years ago and it’s supposedly the best Thai (probably only one tbh) on the island! We were supposed to go here on our last night to get our asian fix in before we leave the next day but decided to go to Bagatelle instead haha. Def want to go here next time.
